Located in the rural village of Burwash, The Bear Inn is just a 10-minute drive from the ancient woodland of Dallington Forest. Homemade food using local ingredients is served in the hotel’s restaurant. A full English breakfast can be enjoyed in the hotel’s dining room. Wooden beams feature throughout the bar, in which guests can choose from a wide selection of drinks. Free Wi-Fi is also available in public areas. A flat-screen TV with DVD player are included in each traditionally decorated and spacious room. A carved wooden four-poster bed feature in some rooms at the Bear Inn and Burwash Motel. Rudyard Kipling’s former home at Bateman’s, now a National Trust property, is less than 20-minutes’ walk from the hotel. Free private parking is available and Bodiam Castle is just 20 minutes’ drive away. Eastbourne city centre and its beaches are a 40-minute journey away by car.
